This is the reader for use with all of our dictionaries, reference works, Tibetan texts,
and for items published with TibetDoc. It is

• The latest version is 5.41
build date January 15, 2015 (the version number of the software is shown on the splash screen
at program startup and can also be seen by looking under "Help, About" when the
program has started).
• This version specifically fixes the problem in version 5.40 and earlier versions
that printing would not work in 64-bit Windows.
• It fixes copying text into the search box from unicode source that would crash the program.
• It fixes several bugs in version 5.40 that were connected with
the all-important "search in files on disk feature". Version 5.41's "search
in files on disk feature" now works correctly and also does not cause the program to crash.
• Versiona 5.40 and up work with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10.
• Versions before 5.40 were not compatible with Windows
7, 8, 10; versions 5.40 and up are fully compatible with Windows 7, 8, 10.

| TibetD Reader for MACINTOSH OSX |
TibetD Reader for Macintosh OSX is not available as a separate product yet, though we have a plan
to make it available that way, hopefully by the end of 2015. At the moment the reader is supplied
as an integral part of dictionary packages for Macintosh OSX. We have abandoned the original
product for Macintosh OSX and released a professionally programmed product for OSX in February
2014. It has the same interface as our Apple iOS software for ease of use. Note
that the OSX reader requires Mac OSX version 10.7 or greater. Note also that it has the
same interface as our Apple iOS software for ease of use. Note also that users of the
earlier software will not be eligible for free or special updates pricing to the new software. |

output. It also fixes copying unicode text into the search box causing the program to crash.

| The Illuminator Tibetan-English Dictionary for WINDOWS |
The dictionary is constantly being developed and improved. Updates are available
from through a one-time update at any time. Updates are released at approximately yearly intervals. The latest version of the dictionary is 5.50, released on June 22nd 2017. Note that the version number of the dictionary is not the version number of the TibetD Reader which is used to read the dictionary. The version number of the dictionary can be seen on the first page—the TITLE page—of the dictionary when the dictionary has been opened. Your initial purchase of the dictionary comes with TibetD Reader, the software needed to use the dictionary. Newer versions of the Reader can be obtained at any time using the instructions above. as the dictionary delivered for Windows. However, the TibetD Reader
software delivered with the dictionary is for Mac OSX, not Windows. The latest version of the dictionary is 5.40, released on January 6th, 2016. | The Illuminator Tibetan-English Dictionary for iOS |
The dictionary delivered for use with the iOS operating system on iPhones and iPads
has exactly the same content as the dictionary delivered for Windows. However, the TibetD Reader
software delivered with the dictionary is for iOS, not for Windows or Mac OSX. The latest version of the dictionary is 5.50, released on June 22nd 2017. This version of the dictionary did not become available until early November 2017 because the reader software for the dictionary had to be re-written to be compatible with iOS 11. This version of the dictionary and the re-written reader software are available in the iTunes store from early November 2017 on. Older versions of the dictionary for iOS may run on earlier versions of iOS but that is not guaranteed because of the extreme changes that Apple incorporated in the iOS 11 software. Free updates to the Illuminator Dictionary for those who purchased earlier versions of the dictionary that ran under iOS 10 and earlier versions of iOS are not available.
